The APS 8′ Diameter x 2″ Wear Mat – 4 pieces w/ 6″ Center Plug is ideal for a variety of uses. This round mat comes in 4 pieces so it’s easier to transport and install. It includes a pre-cut center hole, allowing it to be placed under freestanding spinners with a center post. It also comes with a 6″ center plug that creates a uniform surface so this wear mat can also used under swings that create orbital movements, such as tire swings. Like all APS wear mats, it also features a beveled edge to create a smooth transition from mat to loose-fill surfacing and reduce tripping hazards.

2. Loose-fill surfacing requires frequent maintenance to ensure surfacing levels never drop below the minimum depth. Areas under swings and at slide exits are more susceptible to displacement; special attention must be paid to maintenance in these areas. Additionally, wear mats can be installed in these areas to reduce displacement.
